Places I Want to Eat at in Kansas City

Well, since I told you that I want to be a foodie, I thought maybe I should start a list of the places that I’d like to visit in the near future.  This list should contain the best of Kansas City and/or the most interesting.  Basically, these should be the places that you must try when living in or visiting KC.  Most of these have come from recommendations from friends, but I want to hear from you my reader(s?).  Where should I try and why?  You can use the comments section below and I will add them to my list.

These are presented in alphabetical order.  I will mark them in red once I have made my visit.

I know there are a lot more that need to go on my list, but I can’t think of them right now, sitting in an airport terminal waiting for a flight.  Now it’s your turn.  Where should I be going in the next few months?

This might seem obvious, but Jack Stack BBQ — the one in Martin City has a much cozier atmosphere. I really like the lamb ribs. When you go to Blanc, be sure to try the Soda Vie, crafted by my friend Benjamin Tople! Pick a flavor with Lavender in it — you won’t regret it! Lastly, try Kobe Japanese Steakhouse — it was a really fun experience when I went there last Winter with my girlfriend.

Hey Angela, I did add Bluebird Bistro and Succotash. They seem interesting. The other restaurants appear to be vegan, which unfortunately I’m not that interested in. I would eat there, but they are not on my have-to-try list. Glacé is definitely on my list for desserts, which is a list I have not yet developed.

Thanks Daniel. I added Jack Stack. I have been to Blanc once and loved the Kobe burger. I have not tried the Soda Vie, but I think I also saw them sampling at the OP farmers market. I’ll have to try it. Kobe steakhouse may or may not be on my list in the future, but I’ve been to enough Japanese steakhouses that unless it is extremely unique, I am probably not going out of my way.
