I have been making websites of various types for years now. From band websites, to wedding announcement sites, to church sites and many personal sites. Over those years, I have probably been with at least a half a dozen different web hosts. Honestly, most hosts suck! The reasons range from overloaded servers which leads to a slow website to horrible customer service.
I have been with my current host now for just about two years and can say that for the most part, I have been very happy. I currently use HostMonster. I believe their prices vary depending on what promotion they are having at the time you sign up, but at the time I am writing this, they are offering $4.95 a month including a free domain name. Now that is crazy. Check out the website and you will see the amazing amount of features that you get for that price.
One of the best parts about this host is how easy it is to install and maintain different applications with the click of a button. Almost anyone could create a site just like this one with very little computer knowledge and zero programming experience. That is the amazing thing about the technology of today. Anyone can become a published author with a few dollars and an internet connection.
My sites never seem to have issues with speed (except when I’m sitting at the library with dozens of other people sharing the same internet connection like I am right now!).
